New on Milo Murphy's Law Wikia
For some reason i made a version of the logo this took long i spent way too much time on this.
Greetings community! At the beginning of the year, the UCP migrations for this wiki were announced, and for a few weeks, they were put on hold to address the various technical issues post-migration. Now after weeks of testing, the migrations will be resuming in the coming weeks, and this wiki will be in the upcoming batch of migrations!
More on what these migrations entail can be read here:
For anyone who has any questions, how to prepare for the migrations or critical feedback on issues you've seen on UCP, feel free to write down in the thread below. I will be here to help you all prepare for these changes as they come. Increased communication during this phase will help us be aware of the shift to UCP and coordinate as a community when it happens!
So in each episode page their is a picture for the infobox and a picture for the gallery.
So I have thought of a way of knowing what kind of pictures should be for the infobox and what kind of pictures should be representing the gallery.
I personally believe the best way to do this is to have a pic from the main plot/A plot for the infobox and a pic from the side story/B plot.
Random Guy With Hair: What if there is no B plot genius?
Good question!
If there is no B plot, then I think we should just pick a pic (get it?) that has some kind of action or element from that episode.
What do you guys think?
For some reason, we on the Milo Murphy's Law Wiki seem to have no clue how we format the episode titles on the pages. Most of the time, we see them in italics, but sometimes, we see them with "Quotation marks" as well. Sometimes, people like Paige EM goes through the effort on outright removing the quotation marks and leave the episode titles without any formatting.
I think we should choose one of these options, and I say we pick quotation marks. I have several reasons for this:
- As stated on Wikipedia, quotation marks are often used for shorter works instead of italics. Actually, it literally states the following:
“As a rule, the title of a whole publication would be italicised (or, in typewritten text, underlined), whereas the titles of minor works within or a subset of the larger publication (such as poems, short stories, named chapters, journal papers, newspaper articles, TV show episodes, video game levels, editorial sections of websites, etc.) would be written with quotation marks.” |
- This means that, as the title of a TV show, Milo Murphy's Law should be in italics, but as the title of an episode from the TV show, "Going the Extra Milo" should be in quotation marks.
- Paige's reason for removing the quotation marks is because "because they are not used that way on other wikis she has been part of". Frankly, in an ironic twist, quotation marks have been used that way on many other Wikis I have visited. This includes Phineas and Ferb, Star vs the Forces of Evil, DuckTales, Wander Over Yonder, and Gravity Falls, likely per the reason I gave above.
- Look at the title cards. Any of the title cards. All of them, literally all of them, use quotation marks, just like in Phineas and Ferb. The sole exception I found was Milo Murphy's Halloween Scream-A-Torium, which was a stylized logo. The rest uses quotation marks as they overlay the episode, and I'm sure it's because of the rule I stated as my first reason.
What do you think? Do you agree or do you think I'm full of poop?
I think Dan and Swapy new show might be called The Milo, Phineas and Ferb Law/Effect.
After looking at some of the pictures on the wiki, I realized that I could actually help out by adding/replacing some of the images. Basically, I've bought every episode of MML so far on Amazon, so I could actually take HD screenshots of the episodes (without the Disney XD logo, I should add) and upload them here. I'd just go ahead and do it, but I figured it would be best to get some approval from the higher ups first.
If I do get approval, there are a few questions I have.
1) What would qualify for a good episode picture? As in, the pictures that appear at the tops of episode pages.
2) How do I create a gallery? Or would someone go through and do that ahead of time?
3) What type of screenshots are we looking for? I started on Sunny Side Up, but after about 30 pics, realized that a pic for pretty much every shot is kinda overkill.

We even have our very own first picture reveal, which is quite exciting!
What do you guys think of this new crossover special?
So, Wikia has recently update our navigation bar which can be customed. Any idea for this new feature?
Hey guys. I was checking Milo Murphy's Law on IMDB. The show has an 8.1 out of 10, last time I checked. But for the news, I was checking the episodes and saw an episode title called "Diaster of My Dreams". I have the link. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5834910/ I don't know if its real or not. IMDB is the only source I have.
