So how do I access the Message Walls then?? I’m assuming it’s something completely illogical, and not at all connected to a user’s profile.
...are you daft or something? You access the new message wall THE EXACT SAME WAY as before: you go to a user page, and you'll see the Message Wall button in their profile header, in the exact same place as before:
This is something you should've already realized if you looked beyond the MML wiki and visited another wiki which has been transferred as well. In fact, I already gave you the URL to my Message Wall on the PnF wiki, so you should've already realized this the moment you clicked the link.
But nah, all you seemingly did was looking for an old message wall thread via your browsing history, realize the page doesn't exist anymore and assume the absolute worst and DO NOTHING AFTERWARDS, instead of doing more research on other migrated wikis (like the PnF wiki) to see and realize the Message walls still exist and have been revamped as well and thus may use a different URL.
I did my own quick research yesterday and found out that the message walls have been revamped, and are accessed the same way as before within five minutes. There is absolutely no reason for you to be unable to do the same.
All you needed to do is just visit another wiki and see if their message wall still existed, but you gave up after you couldn't find it on the MML wiki from only your browsing history.
With such a lazy attempt, I bet you wouldn't have noticed a thing if the MML wiki didn't bug out.
Every single time I tried to click on anyone’s profile it would only show up for a second before blanking out and turning completely white. But in the split second where I could see the profile, I clearly saw that the buttons for stuff like “Message Wall” and “Contributions” were NOT there.
The banner that includes both "Message Wall" and "Contributions" probably failed to load before the bug blanked the entire page. The bug seemed to be a JavaScript issue, JavaScript is used to load the banner in the first place, and JavaScript seems to finish loading last (JavaScript in itself takes a bit of time to load). Again, you should've visited another wiki before you go complaining.
I don’t use any other wikis except for the Phineas and Ferb wiki, but I’ve only ever used that wiki through the app.
THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM. You BARELY visit other wikis, and when you DO, you use a very LIMITING app. You should've at least tried visiting the PnF wiki on a desktop browser, or an internet app in Desktop Mode, before you go complaining that "message walls don't exist anymore".
Again, that old thread would only show up as a white page. All I knew was that the page didn’t exist anymore, and when I tried to access it again by going to SilverFlight’s profile that page was also completely white, but from what I could see the Message Wall button was not there. Like I said, I tried several other profiles, none of them loaded, but I also didn’t see a Message Wall button on any of them.
Like I said in the beginning, the Message Wall button is part of a JavaScript-made banner, and the page blanking is likely a JavaScript issue, that's the most likely reason why you didn't see any button.
And also like I said, you really should've visited more than only the MML wiki.
I tried to contact SilverFlight anyway, by commenting on the post about the UCP Migration, and I also tried to contact Fandom Support. But like I said before, the Support team is never helpful. They sent me multiple emails that didn’t give me any actual information. Why didn’t they direct me towards another wiki that had already been migrated, to show me that the Message Walls still exist?
First of all, why didn't you try to contact SilverFlight DIRECTLY, like I did? The fact that you went to the FANDOM Staff blog post about UCP migration (I suppose this one) meant that you went to the yet unmigrated FANDOM Community wiki. You could've contacted SilverFlight right there without any issue.
(Also, if that wasn't the UCP Migration post you commented on, you should at least give a link to the one where you DID comment)
Secondly, I have no idea what you asked to the FANDOM Support via mail. I can definitely believe them not being helpful enough, but when you ask me "why didn't they show me that message walls still exist by directing me an to already migrated wiki", I cannot answer such a thing when I don't even know what you precisely asked in the first place. All I can guess is that they just didn't come to that conclusion.
Like I just said, I tried a ton of different profiles and didn’t see the Message Wall button anywhere. But since all of the pages were just turning white, I tried to contact SilverFlight and Fandom Support and didn’t get any help. They could’ve easily told me the same information that you’re telling me, but they did nothing.
...did you even READ the part you were replying this to? I told you that all you needed to do was to visit another wiki and look THERE for message walls. You only checked the different profiles ON THIS WIKI, but NOT on other wikis, which did NOT have this bug at all.
It is VERY important to take a look at the other migrated FANDOM wikis BEFORE you draw any definite conclusions, because of the following:
You can see if those wikis have the page-blanking bug as well; whether this bug is a widespread issue, of something exclusive to ours (in this case, the bug only hit a handful of wikis - or at least only the MML wiki)
You can assess if the migration caused any features such as Message Walls to be missing (in this case, it didn't)
You can ask others about this bug (it's best to do that in the FANDOM Community wiki and ask a Staff Member if you're unsure)
You can tell me a hundred times that you have seen the other profiles, but the fact that you only looked as far as THIS wiki and just... gave up; instead of looking at OTHER wikis, tells me that you did a poor job on self-researching. For goodness sake, you said you DON'T use the app for the MML wiki, and DO for the PnF wiki. Is it really THAT difficult to just, for a quick moment, visit the PnF wiki THE SAME WAY you use to visit the MML one?
Please, next time we encounter something similar, do check on the other wikis too.
@The Milo Murphy's Law Wiki Guy You aren't the sharpest tool in the shed
@The Milo Murphy's Law Wiki Guy Phineas and Ferb will never have a third season. A movie? Yes. A new season? NO
@The Milo Murphy's Law Wiki Guy Phineas and Ferb is SUPPOSED to be episodic and formulaic. If the new movie had something different, it wouldn't work. Phineas and Ferb is not a story driven show. You are not very bright
@The Milo Murphy's Law Wiki Guy Phineas and Ferb don't have flawed protagonist because that's how they are supposed to be. Their characters help other characters to resolve their problems. Phineas and Ferb is SUPPOSED to be a formulaic show. It makes it great. There's a video on youtube called 'How Phineas and Ferb did the impossible'. You should definitely watch it because your ''opinions'' are garbage
"Phineas and Ferb will never have a third season."
Season 3 began over 10 years ago. In fact, we have a Season 4 too and that already ended over 5 years ago, before Milo Murphy's Law even began.
If Milo Murphy's Law were to have a Season 3, it would have another Phineas and Ferb crossover, but this time, would include Stacy, Jeremy and Vanessa.
And have L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N there too
What do you think?
