Chop Away at my Heart is a song first performed in the Milo Murphy's Law episode "Secrets and Pies." It is sung by a boy band known as The Lumberzacks, which Zack Underwood used to be part of as the lead singer. In "Battle of the Bands," The Lumbermaxes sing a slightly altered version of the original song and call it Saw Away at my Heart.
The song returns in "The Phineas and Ferb Effect" and is performed by Zack and Baljeet (who is a fan of the Lumberzacks), with Buford and Sara as their backup dancers.
Lyrics[]
- Lines displayed in orange are only heard in the full version, as heard on the Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe soundtrack.
I know you're pining
But every cloud has got a silver lining
The leaves are parting, now the sun is shining
And you're in my arms so the planets are aligning
My heart is strong, like a tree
And you belong, baby you belong to me
Without you, I'm tied to the ground
And if I fall, do I even make a sound?
Chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
I can feel it falling (Timber!) and I will never part
I know you, you've been there from the start
So baby, chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
And now you're grinning
When you look me in the eye, my head's spinning
If love is just a game, I think we're winning
And we're here right now so this feels like a beginning
I know you're ready, you know I'm right
When I tell you my bark is always worse than my bite
When you look at me, do you see me?
Or do you only see a forest for the tree?
Chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
I can feel it falling (Timber!) and I will never part
I know you, you've been there from the start
So baby, chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
Na na na na, na na na na na na na (x4)
Chop chop chop, chop away at my heart
I can feel it falling, and I will never part
I know you, you've been there from the start
So baby, chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
Chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
I can feel it falling (Timber!) and I will never part
I know you, you've been there from the start
So baby, chop chop chop, chop away at my heart!
Saw Away at My Heart[]
Saw Away at My Heart is exactly the same song, except the word "Chop" is changed to "Saw".

Trivia[]
- The song was first heard in "The Note", as the song that Larry was listening to on Wilson's headphones.
- In the beginning of the music video, down in the left corner "Swampenmire Records" is wrote. "Swampenmire" is a portmanteau referencing Milo Murphy's Law creators Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire.
- The song was featured in Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe during a scene where Candace told the alien spaceship to stop multiple times, and the ship misinterpreted "stop, stop, stop" as "chop, chop, chop." The extended version of the song is featured on the film's soundtrack.
- This makes it the first song from the show to have an album release.
