Milo Murphy's Law[1] (titled Mikey Murphy's Law in production)[2] is an American animated television series that debuted on October 3, 2016 on Disney XD.[3] It was created by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire, the creators of Phineas and Ferb. It focuses on the life of Milo Murphy, a 13-year-old boy who is condemned by Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
Plot
Milo Murphy is the great-great-great-great-grandson of the original Murphy of Murphy's Law fame. Born with Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law (EHML), a condition that has affected the males in the Murphy family for seven generations, Milo is always expecting the unexpected. Together with his friends Melissa and Zack, they will learn to not sweat the big stuff — and it's all BIG stuff. No matter what goes wrong, (and something constantly does,) Milo is prepared for every possibility, armed with knowledge, a backpack of supplies, and an endless sense of optimism and enthusiasm that can turn any catastrophe into an adventure!
History
The first song about Milo Murphy's Law is "We're Gonna Do It Again!", sung by Dan and Swampy, while they present their new show. It can be considered their sequel tour, since they did a similar song for Phineas and Ferb.

Background Information
- Milo Murphy's Law replaced Phineas and Ferb.
- Milo Murphy's Law takes place following the end of Phineas and Ferb's run.[4]
- Jeff "Swampy" Marsh has voiced the most characters of the show (clocking in at six characters), making him the actor with the most characters out of the other actors for the show.
- Milo Murphy's Law is jokingly referred to by Dan Povenmire as a "spin-on" to Phineas and Ferb, rather than a "spin-off".[5]
- As of 2024, the show is on a long hiatus, meaning there's a possible chance for a third season to be made if the show's Disney+ views are high enough.
- This was the first spin-off of Phineas and Ferb show to premiere on Disney XD instead of Disney Channel.
